The Village Clerk's duties and responsibilities are
accordance with Village Law, Municipal Home Rule,
Municipal Law, and NYS Civil Practices & Rules.
Basic Responsibilities include:
At the direction of the Mayor, or Board Chairman, the
prepares agenda's for the Board of Trustees, Planning,
Architectural Review Boards, including coordinating
corresponding materials, finalizing agendas and
distribution of materials.
Performs follow-up activities resulting from said
including transcribing and filing minutes, ensuring
and ordinances are in proper format and notarized.
Must effectively represent the Village in contacts
agencies, community groups and various professional,
regulatory, and legislative organizations; through
correspondence, in person and over the telephone.
Monitors contracts and other agreements ensuring they
properly procured, authorized, recorded in a timely
manner and that
Village insurance requirements are met. Receives bids,
bid openings, returns unsuccessful bid bonds and
FOIL form. C

- Serves as Health Benefits Administrator for
- Serves as the Village's Election Official,
aspects of the Village's General and Special Elections
interfacing closely with Suffolk County Board of
- Supervises the activities, responsibilities, and
the Chief Election Inspector and deputies.
- Oversees Village's Municipal Code ensuring
and proper ordinance codification.
- Administers oath of office for all Boards,
Committees and maintains custody of the official
Provides Notary Public services for Village legal
- Oversees the Handicap Parking Program in
the rules and regulations of the NYS Department of
- Serves as Freedom of Information Officer. All
